What is says in the small print: "The fabulously efficient Starbucks worker moved this chair in the middle of me drawing it".

Locker room mirror.
I missed the reflection of the blow dryer. Realized it too late.

Practicing proportions and angles while in another class. Our break was over before I had a chance to finish. :-)
At last, a lesson in proportions! And angles! Tedious but important stuff.
I quick sketch of a car in front of me while waiting to go in for an appointment.

I took a lesson on how to draw hands.
Step 1 - A loose, rough sketch to show the "movement" of the hand, the bends at the joints, the direction, the intention.
Step 2 - Loosely draw in cylinders, boxes and spheres to show the volume of the hand.
Step 3 & 4 - Use your pencil to "cite" the correct angles and proportions.
This is drawn from a statue, using these steps:

Sketched out in a hurry because I had a concert to get to!

Some of the things I did today.

Sketching things I saw out the window, trying to focus on drawing negative space. I really need a lesson in proportion drawing. I think that is coming soon.

Another study of negative space. It takes a lot of concentration, especially on something like this where there are so many similar negative spaces. Thanks again to Starbucks for hosting my drawing session!

Negative space drawing of medicine cabinet with some details filled in later.

I feel like I'm going through the "this is going to get worse before it gets better" phase. Sort of like when you decide to clean out your closet.
